Friday Night Gin Club is a monthly gin subscription service that also sells a wide variety of full-sized craft bottles and runs gin-focussed events, such as make-your-own gin classes and gin and beer parties.
Ordering is simple; if you’re ordering as a gift, you can choose from a four-pack of miniature gins (£15), a full-sized bottle of gin liqueur (£20) or a full-sized bottle of gin (£30). There are three subscription lengths to choose from: three, six or 12 months, and there’s the option to include a message with the first order. If you’re ordering for yourself, you can choose from the four-pack of miniatures or full-sized bottle of gin on a one-month rolling subscription that can be cancelled at any time.
We tried the four-pack of miniatures. We received three gins and one gin liqueur, all brands that are unfamiliar to us, so it’s exciting to try something totally new. Accompanying the gins is a card with tasting notes, as well as a suggested mixer and garnish (these are not provided), but we would like a little more information and storytelling, such as where the gins are distilled or something unique about the brand. All of the packaging is recyclable, which is a real plus, as are the bottles, which are all clear glass.
At £15 for four 4cl bottles of unique gin, this is great value for money. New miniature samples each month means there’s no risk of receiving a full bottle you don’t like that just ends up sitting on the bar cart for months. Plus, if you do happen to receive a sample you love, full-sized bottles are available to buy directly from Friday Night Gin Club.
