
Bulgogi cheese steak sandwich
Philly cheese steak + Korean bulgogi is a marriage made in heaven sometimes known as a koagie. This is indulgent sandwich is super easy to make
- grated to make 1 tsp ginger
- 1 clove garlicgrated
- 1 tsp light brown soft sugar
- 2 tbsp gochujang
- 4 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- ½ pearpeeled and cubed
- 2 sirloin steaksvery finely sliced
- 1 baguettecut into 4
- american cheese or mild cheddar
- 2 spring onionsfinely chopped
- sesame seeds

Method
step 1
Mix the ginger, garlic, sugar, gochujang, soy sauce, sesame oil and rice vinegar, then mash in the pear. Add the steak and leave it to marinate for 1 hour.
step 2
Halve each piece of baguette horizontally, leaving it joined at one side, and add a layer of cheese to the base. Tip the beef and the marinade into a wok, bring it to a simmer and stir until the meat is cooked through. Spoon some into each baguette then sprinkle on some spring onion and sesame seeds. Leave to sit for a few minutes for the juices to sink in before eating.
